Relational Culture for Organizations
Organizations run on Relationships
Toward our mission of building capacity toward a culture shift, we offer custom training, facilitation, coaching, and consulting programs for mission-driven organizations and groups.
Relational Culture is an “upstream” strategy, meaning that it proactively embeds values and practices into organizational culture. For this reason, we love to work with organizations that are either actively focused on tending to their relationships, or who want to but don’t know where to start. It is an excellent support for new organizations in the process of setting their culture, or for the launch of a new team or program in existing organizations.
Relational Culture not only builds shared leadership among teams to have resilience in the face of change or challenging situations, but also makes them more creative, efficient, complex, and collaborative.
Make real change
This process is not “performative” and cannot work without a genuine intention to learn, change and grow in relationship. It is an embodied practice that requires us to change our habits and assumptions and to learn to lean on one another in new ways. If this aligns with your organization’s intentions for seeking support, we would love to work with you.
Work With Us
We customize programs to meet an organization’s specific context, goals and budget. Our programs range from single training events to multi-year partnerships.

Our training methodology uses our unique storytelling and embodied empathic listening practice, Stories of Connection and Sharing Resonance, to deepen relationships around the things that matter. Building on the conditions generated by Sharing Resonance practice, our Relational Inquiry model provides a framework and practices that support teams to hold complexity and protect their relationships when faced with complex problem solving or group conflict.
Relational Culture training is also a prevention effort. It is designed to help your team learn and practice the tools to generate the culture you wish to have, rather than only building mechanisms to respond to challenges after they occur. This unique training has multiple benefits by providing both capacity building and relationship and trust building among your team.

Relational Gestat Coaching is an embodied approach to leadership development that builds capacity to center and protect relationships, and to uphold relational values and principles in the important work of organizational leaders and teams. A focused consultation will help clarify your goals, map out next steps, and identify opportunities for growth. Custom training programs typically include coaching for individuals and small teams as it can be an essential element of a successful culture shift effort.

We provide facilitation for small and large teams using a relational process methodology. This may be for a team retreat or planning session, or to facilitate complex or challenging discussions among team members where it is crucial to hear all voices. Training addresses diverse experiences and intersectional identities with nuance in a way that expands rather than collapses complexity. Organizations often find this to be a supportive context for reflecting on events such as shifts in organizational strategy or structure, recent conflicts, or changing external conditions.
Our Process
Every organization is different, but we always follow the same basics steps to roll out programming for organizations and teams.
Connect and Assess
We start by connecting with you to find out about your organization and what your are hoping to get out of working with us. Then, together we determine whether we are a good fit to work together to support your organization.
Design and Agree
We then discuss your goals in depth, learn about your team, and design a process together with the appropriate combination of training, coaching, facilitation and consultation to help you meet your goals.
Implement
We then roll out the elements of your program, which may look like training for your team, followed by coaching with individual leaders and retreat facilitation with your leadership team.
Reflect and Integrate Learning
We then engage in a collective reflection and learning process, before moving to the next phase of the project or concluding our work together.
